Education Background; Central Washington University: Bachelor of Science, Bus Administration, 1980, Series 7, (General Securities Representative) ,Series 66, (Uniform Combined State Law) and General Insurance Agent.
Richard is a (IRA) Investment Advisor Representative, is separately licensed as a Registered Representative with Brokers financial. He is an independent Insurance Agent licensed to sell insurance and annuity products through various Insurance companies. He is an inaugural and active member of APEG, the Advanced Planning and Educational Group since 2019.
Richard Olson, a native of Washington State, now resides in Lake Elsinore, CA.
After graduating from college, Richard became an executive with Hyatt Hotels during the 80's and 90's. As director of Sales, Washington DC, He was responsible for producing events in all of Hyatt's domestic hotels from the Washington DC market. After leaving Hyatt in 1994, he went on to produce such events as the Nike World Masters Games, Portland OR, and Harley Davison's 95 anniversary reunion in Milwaukee, WI. He entered the financial Services industry in 2005 in Temecula, CA. and is still practicing today. During his time as a financial Advisor, he founded Veteran' Advocacy Associates (a 501 3c non-Profit) in 2006 and served as President until 2018. In this capacity, he assisted war time veterans in procuring benefits from the department of Veterans affairs to help them pay for medical expenses.
To date, the organization has originated over 100 million dollars in benefits to Veterans in his local community.
He is an active member and past president (2017) of The Rotary Club of Old Town Temecula.
He has one child, Elizabeth, who lives in Chicago with her husband, John. He lives in Lake Elsinore with his Jack Russell Terrier, Henry and a cat named Larry.
